 Cognitive mapping is a great way to build upon previous knowledge by connecting new information back to it. It helps students to see relationships between ideas, concepts or authors. The units selected for cognitive mapping were " Leaps and Bounds" from plus one, which contain 3 chapters and " Challenges of Life"from plus two which contains 3 chapters.

 On monday I had general observation by Rana miss. It was our last observation in teaching practice days. Teacher gave appropriate feedbacks.  On tuesday I dealt with two lesson templates. Because I got 2 periods in 8A.Two of them are activity lesson templates. Wednesday was celebated as the SPC day. Respected HM Roy sir hoisted the SPC flag.Special assembly was conducted by SPC students. I conducted achievement test in 8A. Then I got a substitution period in6A. I took them to the ground because it was their PT period. In the evening we had an onlune meetong of college . It was a general reflection meeting. Our college pincipal gave some instructions about teaching practice. On thursday I completed the poem "From a Railway Carriage "in unit 2. It was the second last day of our teaching practice days. Friday was our last day at school. I provided answer sheets of achievement test. We gave special gift to our HM Roy sir and distributed a small snack to every teachers and office...

 On monday I dealt with the rest of the story "A shipwrecked sailor".I had exam duty in 9C. Our principal Nimmi mis came for general observation of physical science trainees. Teacher gave appropriate suggestions and wished us best of luck. On tuesday I dealt with the rest of the story. I had substitution period in 9A.It was another beautiful day at school. On wednesday I collected data for my project. On thursday I dealt with the story " A shipwrecked sailor" in 8A.Our optional miss visited our school for second observation. She gave appropriate suggestions and corrections. Teachers and office staffs gave a fairwel party for teacher trainees. On saturday I took a model lesson tempate. It was Direct Instruction model. I introduced the topic past continues tense. I got another period in 8A. So I could complete another esson template also.It was an activity lesson template.  Monday and tuesday were holidays. On wednesday I dealt with the secobd unit "wings and wheels".Then I had a substitution period at 5A. Tributes were paud to Oommen chandy sir's death in the school.  First term exams were started on thursday. I got a class in 8A and started the story "A shipwrecked sailor". I had exam duty in 8A. I didn't got my period because there was exam during my period. I had exam duty there. After the lunch break also I had exam duty.  Saturday was also working. I had exam duty. I got substitution periods in 9c and 7A. On saturday online reflection was conducted. I shared my experiences with my friends and heard their experiences too.

 On monday  I had a period in 8A and dealt with the story "The boy who drew cats". In the afternoon session there was a function gor congratulayjng students who got full A+ in sslc examination. So there was substitution periods. I got another period also. So conducted remedial teaching for them. I completed the third chapter in first unit. On tuesday I started a new poem " We're the world" by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie Jr. Our Physical scince teacher Rana miss visited the school.  On wednesday I dealt with an ICT lesson template. I got a substitution period at 7C. On thursday I completed the poem. I provided notes. I completed the first unit.  On friday I dealt with a model lesson template. It was Advance organizer model. I intriduced the topic Adjectives.There were prayer at church. Special programmes were conducted there. Saturday was as working due to some holy days.  Monday was holyday because of St Thomas day.   On tuesday I had a period on 8A and I dealt with the story"The boy who drew cats". I coyld complete two lesson templated today.    On Wednesday I conducted diagnostic test on 8A. And today I dealt with a model lesson template. I introduced the topic "verb". Basheer day was celebrated on this day.    On friday I completed my 15th lesson template.There was a general pta meeting on school. So we got many substitution periods.      Weekend reflection was conducted via online. Option wise reflection was occured.          

 On monday a special assembly was conducted by 10th standard students on the basis of International day against drug abuse. Special rally was also consucted. I had 4th period and started the poem "Tajmahal". No substitution periods were there.       On tuesday I had 7th period and I completed the poem Taj Mahal. I completed 9 lesson templates.      After 2 holydays school is reopened. I stated a story "The boy who drew cats". We are invited for a quiss section related to reading day. A studenth from 5th standard got first prize.      We had regular class on saturday.Our opyion miss observed my class today and gave appropriate suggestions.Mulanchi fest was also conducted on saturday. Online reflection was also conducted by our option teacher. We shared our experiences and teacher gave appropriate advices.            

 It was the second week of our teaching practice.      On monday there was an assembly related to reading day. There were special guests like kundara panchayath member, PTA president and rotary club members. The head master Roy sir gave a message tothe students regarding the value of reading. After that school diary was presented. The rotary club gifted a bicycle for a studebt in 9A who is intelligent in studies and economically backward. Students presented different programms like group song,poster making etc.       On tuesday after a beautiful prayer classes were started.  I got 7th period in 8A. I dealt with my 5th lesson template.         It was yoga day on wednesday. Yoga day special programmes were conducted on the leadership of SPCand NCC. I got 6th period in 8A.  The second phase of teaching practice was started on 12/6/2023.On monday I got second perod in 8A. They are new students for me. They are so bright and active students. I didn't take classes on monday. I interacted with them.                 On tuesday I took my first lesson plan. I started the story "The Mysterious Picture"by Charles De Coster. I had 7th period . I uesd pictures, flashcards activity cards etc.In 4th period i got substitution class at 7c.                 On wednesday I got 6th period at 8A. I dealt with my  second lesson template. I showed them the painting of Monalisa.  PPT slides were used to introduce difficult words. I provided a group activity for them.       On thursday I had 2nd period. It was my 3rd lesson template.  As a part of b ed curriculum a community living camp was conducted from 10th april 2023 to 14th april 2023. The camp named as RRR stands for Revive,Rise, and Reflect. The theme of the camp was Learning to live together. Vinoy K V and Fathima Salah were selected as camp leaders. 51 teacher trainees and teachers together worked for the camp. College Principal Nimmi Varghese Maam was the camp  coordinator. The camp was inaugurated bythe Deputy Speaker Chittayam Gopakumar. From the second day onwards the camp was shifted to St Xaviers animation centre, salempuram. Many resource persons including sri Brahma nayakam mahadevan sir, punnapra jyothikumar sir, Manoj suni sir, Sujathan S and VinodM S.   E content development workshop was done by Noushad sir. Sir explained each and every pointe about technology and introduced us with alot of online sites and apps. In the morning session sir enabled us to create a digital text book and we uploaded it in flip html 5. In the afternoon session sir divides us in to groups and we created an e content . It was a different experience. 

 Art and aesthetic workshop was done on 29th march 2023. It was a blissfull class. The class was led by Dr. Thottam Bhuvanendran nair. Sir explained a lot about poetry. Sir explained every examples and situagions through poetry. He explained about different song styles like kathakali sangeetham, filk songs etc. I really love the class because he is a great example for a good teacher.     In the second session sif give us a slot for our creativity. We the first group intriduced the story "The Race" through a kadha prasangam. It was a different experience. Really love the class and Bhuvanendran sir.

 Women's day celebration was conducted in our college on march 8 2023.         Inauguration was done by SMT Lekha L K (athlete and physical educator ). After the official meeting cultural pfogrammes and games were conducted.     After lunch break there was a self defence class by SHRI Hanshi R Gopakumar sir. Then flash mob and mime were performed at adoor junction. Anyway it was a memorable day.       

 We conducted a conscientization programme on 22/2/2023. It was based on the topic "hazards of plastic". Debate and poster combetitions were conducted.   Initially an awareness class was done on 8c and 8D. Hannah introduce the topic, Devipriya talk about merits of plastic,Jitha introduced the demerits of plastic and me conclude the session by talking about remedial measures.  Debate was conducted on following classes by the following order.       8D -me      8C- Devipriya       8B- Hannah       9C-Jitha Topic: plastic a boon or curse. A poster making competition was done on 9B and 9C. The winners are Amritha ffom 9B and Jincy from 9C.        

 This was the last week of our teaching practise. We conducted conscientization on this week.  On monday I had 5th period. It was a revision class.  On tuesday I conducted achievement test on 8D. I got substitugion classes.   On wednesday we conducted conscientization programme.There were many substitution classes for us.  On thursday there was a debate combetition conducted at IT lab based on the topic "is tourism an advantage or not?".There was a substitution for 8D on 5th period.  Friday was our last day in the school. We express our sincere thanks to our head mistress, our mentor teachers other teachers and non teaching staffs and gave them a small treat. My children was so sad to leave me. They me chocolates, ring,hugs,kisses and their valuable feedbacks. Their eyes filled with tears when they hug me. It was an unforgettable day in my life.  Now I am waiting for the second phase of teaching practise.             ...

 Innovation is creating new value and for capturing values in a new way. As part of my B Ed course, I have created a self learning material for 8th standard students. I prepared a picture book of the story "The Nightingale and The Rose" by Oscar Wilde from 8th standard English textbook. In this I used pictures that explains the main ideas and scenes of the story. I also included proper dialogues.    It was a beautiful experience in my life.. with the help of this innovative work I could enhance interest among my students.
