WORKSHOP:MICRO TEACHING

 Our college H H M M II Training college conducted a two  day workshop  in the topic MiCRO TEACHING on 7/2/2022 and 8/2/2022.In the first day the programme was  started by the assembly of English Department. In the assembly we had one minute silent prayer in  rememberence of the music legend Lata Mangeshkar. Dr praveena miss and Soorya miss were the programme coordinators. The first section was handled by Roy sir the principal of B M M II Training college kottarakara. He gave a general introduction about micro teaching. The next section was handled by Dr Jhonson sir head of the English department. He discussed the topic " skill of introducing a lesson and skill of stimulus variation". It was a new area of knowledge for us. The third section was handled by Soorya miss. She discussed about "skill of explaining and skill of illustrating with examples ". It was a very interesting section. 

          The Second day of online workshop was held on 8/2/2022. The programme was started by the assembly of Maths Department. First section was by Sabuji sir and he explained about " skill of using blackboard". He used blackboard for explaining his topic. Second section was handled by Dr Praveena miss on the topic "skill of Demonstration and skill of Reinforcement". She presented PPT slides. Students responded actively. Third section was by Dr Divya miss on the topic " skill of probing Questions and skill of fluency in Questioning". The fourth section was handled by Dr Chithra miss and the topic is " skill of achieving closure". The last and final section was handled by our principal Nimmi miss. She explained about the " skill of using ICT". Due to time limit she couldn't cover her entire topic. During the class she gave us a psychological game and a google form quiz to attend. It was really interesting and every students participated in it very enthusiastically. Any way the two days workshop of micro teaching was very helpful and fruitful.
